NTF Players Thoughts

Rodney Hunter - (Mariner, 2015)

"Peach Jam was an amazing experience. We got to play against the best teams in the country in front of some of the top college coaches in the country. Playing with my NTF family made the experience even better. We coming back even harder next year to take that trophy home!"

Kevarrius Hayes - (Suwannee Live Oak, 2015)

"Peach Jam was a great experience for me. It made me realize that at the level of competition we are playing at, there are certain parts of my game that I need to work on and improve if I want to continue to get better. It's great to be on a team of friends who treat you like family because they always make the experience more enjoyable."

Wyatt Walker - (Providence. 2015)

"Many tournaments claim to have the best competition and exposure to the top NCAA coaches. The Peach Jam actually delivered both! Every game was a battle and ecery sideline was loaded with the top coaches in the game. The atmosphere was incredible and they took care of us like we were professionals. NTF will be back! I love this group of guys! Family!"

Troy Baxter - (The Rock School, 2016)

"The Peach Jam was amazing! I saw a lot of my dream schools there watching us play. It was a good atmosphere and we were playing against the best talent. Hopefully we can make it to Peach Jam next year!"

Chad Brown - (Deltona HS, 2015)

"My experience at the Peach Jam was great, playing against the best players in the country. All the colleges were there to watch every game. It was very exciting to have colleges look at me. It was a blessing to be the first one from my city to play in the Peach Jam."

Jonathan Jean - (East Bay HS, 2015)

"My experience at the 2013 Peach Jam was amazing!! I played in front of plenty of High Major coaches. This was definitely the most exposure I have ever had. This was the best tournament I have ever been to. Hopefully me and my teammates can return to Peach Jam next year and win it!"

Haanif Cheatham - (Pembroke Pines Charter, 2015)

"Peach Jam was an incredible atmosphere and an unbelievable experience. We were right there... This team showed a lot of fight and that we don't give up. That's what makes us special. We are looking forward to coming back again next year and winning it all!!"

Chance McSpadden & Chad Brown in Local Media

Winter Haven's McSpadden Impressive at UF Camp

"GAINESVILLE | Chance McSpadden wasted no time impressing the Florida coaching staff at the Billy Donovan Basketball Camp this weekend, and the coaches wasted no time letting the Winter Haven guard know how they felt about him.

About an hour after the Blue Devils played their first game against Boone on Friday afternoon, Florida assistant coach Rashon Burno pulled McSpadden aside.

“He said, ‘Chance, we’re
going to offer you a scholarship,’” McSpadden recalled on Saturday. “He liked how I competed.” The junior made an early impression in Winter Haven’s first game at the camp when he guarded Boone’s star point guard B.J. Taylor.

“When Chance kind of wore him out, that’s what really got them,” Winter Haven coach Tyrone Woodside said.

It’s the second offer in as many weeks for McSpadden, who picked up an offer at the Stan Heath Basketball Camp at South Florida last weekend.
“I didn’t realize it would happen so quickly,” Woodside said of the Florida offer.

McSpadden immediately called his parents, who were in as much shock as he was.

“My dad was like, ‘Man, you’re lying, you’re play-ing,’” McSpadden said.

With Donovan away coaching the United States’ Under-19 team in the FIBA World Championships, his assistants put on a clinic demonstrating drills to the teams. McSpadden was called upon to participate with the top players at the camp." - Aimee Sachs (Polk Preps)

Deltona's Brown Drawing Big-Hoops Offers

"Deltona forward/center Chad Brown’s recruiting is picking up steam.
The 6-foot-8 rising junior said he has offers from Kansas State, Bethune-Cookman and Alabama. He said he is also hearing from Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, VCU, Virginia, Murray State and North Carolina State.
Brown averaged nearly 9 points and 11 rebounds per game last season.
“They love the way I rebound, block shots and defend,” Brown said. “And, they love the way I finish around the basket.” - Brian Linder (The Daytona Beach News Journal)
